Joining the chambers

Lateral path.

For experienced practitioners considering the chambers, the lateral path is structured to ensure substantive fit before any offer is made.

The chambers accepts a small number of lateral hires each year, at every grade from senior associate to member. We evaluate lateral candidates against the same model that has held since the chambers’ founding: substantive practice, professional discipline, and cultural fit with our collaborative, senior-led model.

The process

Initial conversations are confidential and exploratory. Substantive evaluations follow if both parties wish to continue. The process is structured to be respectful of the candidate’s current commitments and timeline.

What we look for

Substantive practice depth in disciplines that fit the chambers’ overall model; references that speak to substantive work quality; a portable book of business at the member level, where applicable; and the cultural fit with our integrated, senior-led approach.
